Fellow apartment dwellers. Do you dream about one day planting your own garden? Perhaps eating your very own juicy, plump tomatoes? Well, the day has come for your to sow your own oats! I recently planted my very first apartment style patio ‘garden’. By growing your own veggies, not only are you saving a ton of money but you will feel the satisfaction of eating something you put the time and effort into growing. According to a study produced by The National Gardening Association, the average family with a vegetable garden spends just $70 a year on it and grows an estimated $600 worth of vegetables. I’d say that’s a steal! Set to grow on my patio: tomatoes, broccoli, basil, cucumber and squash. I’ll keep you updated on my progress!
